A majestic set of six French dining chairs from the 19th century. Each hand-carved oak frame features a decorative banister with a grape and vine leaf design, flanked by two barley twist stiles, sitting on four barley twist legs which are connected by turned stretchers.
All with very desirable rattan seats. This set of chairs are structurally very solid with nominal old impression marks to the frames consistent with age and use. One chair has had a repair to its bannister (as photographed). Two other chairs have recently had their rattan seats replaced.
All repairs have been carried out by professionals in a way that has preserved the chairs original condition as much as possible. 43 x 45 x 108 cm.
